This year's competition is dedicated to recognising and rewarding those who have taken bold steps to grow their operations and expand their reach. The Botswana Innovation Fund (BIF) is a grant scheme established by the Government of Botswana to support innovation and technology advancement in the country. BIF was established through a statutory instrument in 2017 and was fully operationalized in 2018.  

The Fund promotes innovation through technology, product and business development in the private sector by providing cash grants to companies registered under the BDIH as well as universities and research organization rendering services to the BDIH registered companies. 

The Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) invites funding applications for innovative technologies in the following areas:

Metropolitan Collective Shapers, a youth empowerment initiative, has launched its entrepreneur programme in KwaZulu-Natal and is calling for applications. The initiative, established in 2021, is designed to equip young entrepreneurs with relevant skills and resources to help participants scale their businesses, create employment within their communities, build a network and facilitate market access for their businesses.

The Startupper of the Year Challenge by TotalEnergies is back in 32 African countries for a special edition celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary! If you’re a young entrepreneur between 18 and 35 years old, with a startup less than 3 years old or a project/idea that you would like to develop, this challenge is for you.

The aim of this 4th edition is to support and encourage young African entrepreneurs to innovate and bring their projects to reality in their country of application.

The Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) seeks to appoint a Consultancy/Service Provider for the project completion of the University Entrepreneurship Resource Video Campaign.

The primary objective of the University Entrepreneurship Resource and Video Project is to document stories about entrepreneurship resources at public universities in South Africa. The videos will contribute to increased knowledge and understanding of the resources in place at universities to support student entrepreneurs.
