The ICC TradeRoots Africa Programme, led by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Centre of Entrepreneurship, is designed to help African SMEs build the knowledge, tools, connections and capabilities needed to expand into African markets under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and Regional Economic Communities (RECs).

The programme will support 1,000 SMEs through its first tier and provide a structured pathway from export readiness to concrete market opportunities, trade finance and export transactions. 

BluoVerda Deutschland e.V. is inviting applications for an online course focused on agroforestry, climate resilience and sustainable landscapes.

The course explores how agroforestry approaches can contribute to more resilient, biodiverse and sustainable landscapes, while providing participants with practical perspectives for applying these approaches in different contexts.

The programme combines theoretical e-learning modules with five live Zoom sessions and is delivered in English.

The Circular Innovation Challenge 2026 is seeking innovative businesses in Southern Africa with solutions that are beyond the ideation stage and ready to move into testing, implementation or scaling.

The challenge is focused on circular solutions that:

• Reduce waste.
• Keep materials in use.
• Regenerate nature.
• Create social and economic value.
• Support jobs and wellbeing.

Solutions are expected to contribute to a transition from a linear to a circular economy.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The Entrepreneurs for Resilience (E4R) 2027 programme is the 10th edition of the Swiss Re Foundation's programme supporting entrepreneurial solutions that strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities.

This edition focuses specifically on scaling access to affordable, quality primary healthcare for underserved populations in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

• Indicative topic budget: EUR 20 million
• Indicative EU contribution: EUR 20 million for the project
• Indicative number of projects: 1
• End Technology Readiness Level: TRL 8. 

The EUR 20 million is the indicative EU contribution, not necessarily a guaranteed amount that every application can request. The work programme states that proposals may request a different amount where justified.

Funding Available

The call will award up to 10 medium-size grants of up to USD 500,000 each.

Maximum project duration: 24 months.

The develoPPP Classic Ideas Competition is a funding mechanism of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) that supports privately owned, profit-oriented companies undertaking projects in developing and emerging countries.
