MGCA is procuring the services of a qualified professional service provider to undertake a defined consultancy and business-development assignment. Payment will be made in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and is subject to satisfactory delivery and acceptance of agreed milestones.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Challenge Programme is designed to support leading researchers in forming collaborative research consortia around major scientific challenges of strategic importance.

This particular Challenge focuses on understanding the interaction between extreme heat and hypertension, with the aim of improving clinical management and reducing complications and mortality associated with heat exposure in people with hypertension.

Global EbA Fund

The Fund aims to create an enabling environment for Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities and ecosystems to climate change. It supports innovative approaches that help EbA move from individual initiatives towards wider uptake, scaling and mainstreaming.

Funding Available

The call will award up to 10 medium-size grants of up to USD 500,000 each.

Maximum project duration: 24 months.

Overview

The Career Path Development for Employment (CPD4E) Project is inviting emerging and small non-profit and community-based organisations in South Africa to submit innovative ideas that can promote and strengthen employment opportunities within Just Energy Transition (JET) value chains.

The competition is implemented by GFA Consulting Group GmbH on behalf of GIZ and is focused on identifying community-level approaches that can contribute to employment creation within the Just Energy Transition, particularly in communities located within designated Skills Development Zones.

The Southern African Biomanufacturing Training Hub (SA-BTH) is offering a specialised course titled “Principles for Microbial Preservation and Aseptic Techniques in Biomanufacturing (I-BTH03)”.

The course forms part of the BIOcapSA programme, which aims to strengthen biomanufacturing skills and develop a skilled and competent workforce in Africa. It is intended for African manufacturers, scientists and other stakeholders involved in the development and scale-up of biomanufacturing processes and products.
