The French South African Tech Labs (FSAT Labs) is an incubator and accelerator for French and South African tech start-ups, based in Century City, Cape Town. It offers 400 sqm of incubation & acceleration space. Based on the partnership between Seda (Small Enterprise Development Agency) and Methys, the FSAT Labs is a new service for entrepreneurs who desire to become powerful changemakers. Innovate Durban was set up by the eThekwini Municipality in 2013 in an effort to create a conducive environment for innovation. At the time, there was a lack of support for innovation and there was limited collaboration. In the lower south coast, more garbage is ending up in landfills and incinerators. Thulikaceb Recycling Company is turning into AI-assisted robots to help sort garbage in recycling plants. Contamination in the rural areas and informal settlements is high since recyclables are often dumped into one bin instead of multi-streamed or separated from the source. Therefore, Thulikaceb Recycling is developing AI-assisted robotic technology that can work with humans in processing plants and improve quality control.

Loo Afrique is a manufacturer of improved sanitation solutions with an aim to save water, improve hygiene and flush using greywater. All the products that are manufactured, are locally designed in conjunction with the SABS Design Institute, and locally manufactured in South Africa-Tshwane.
