mLab is a tech-centred business working alongside partners to build a vibrant, robust innovation ecosystem. We do this by identifying and nurturing the tech-talent among our youth, supporting budding tech-entrepreneurs and their fledgling businesses, and creating tech that brings about change and improves the lives of all South Africans. We also run a number of pan-African programmes to broaden the reach and impact of our participants and stakeholders alike.

The company consists of directors in the field of engineering science, currently focusing on renewable and alternative energy sources amongst other technology innovative ideas. We are a research and development company that seeks to commercialize as many as possible creations within our laboratory. We are in the prototype phase with a wireless power broadcast project.

This Institute of Advanced Tooling (IAT) is based at Walter Sisulu University (WSU) Buffalo City, satellite Campus in East London. IATWSU focuses mainly on mechanical design,  concept and product development, metrology (3rd party measurement), analysis, skills development and more recently, advanced manufacturing and reverse engineering.

The strategic objectives of the station are to provide technology support services and training to the (predominantly) regional manufacturing sector, SME's, inventors, individuals, academic partners and in some cases large companies.

Technimark started in 1996 as an industrial design consultancy. Technimark is proficient in all stages of the design and production process, and is geared to take an idea from concept development, through prototyping, to manufacturing.

Mobile Application Development

The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) is primarily a science council that funds and conducts health research.
