Public Investment Corporation

The Public Investment Corporation SOC Limited (PIC) is an asset management firm wholly owned by the government of the Republic of South Africa. It runs a diversified investment portfolio, which comprise of multiple asset classes. These include listed equities, real estate, capital market, private equity and impact investing.

Technology Innovation Agency

TIA is a national public entity that serves as the key institutional intervention to bridge the innovation chasm between research and development from higher education institutions, science councils, public entities, and private sector, and commercialisation.

To date (2024-2025 Financial year), the Innovation Fund has disbursed R917.2 million to its implementing partners, through 10 Venture Capital Funds. On direct funds investment model, the fund also committed to 27Four and Anza Capital through two Venture Capital Funds.
