Pre-incubation is a stage in the entrepreneurial support process that happens before formal business incubation. The in-person program provides early-stage entrepreneurs with the necessary resources, guidance and support to develop their business ideas and validate their concepts.

The goal of the Namakwa Digital Hub (NDH) pre-incubation is to prepare ventures for successful entry into the NDH Accelerator or Technology Business Incubator, where they can further develop and grow their businesses with more comprehensive support and resources.

The Belmont Forum is pleased to announce the launch of the Africa Regional Collaborative Research Action.

In support of the African Union’s climate, environment, and sustainability goals and priority areas for Agenda 2063, the National Research Foundation, South Africa (NRF) has led the development of this Belmont Forum Collaborative Research Action (CRA) to address knowledge gaps and priorities in addressing climate change vulnerability across the continent. Three themes (or areas) of concern emerged from scoping sessions with the community:

The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority (CHIETA) has launched a R12 million Artisan Entrepreneurship Fund. The fund will support programmes aimed at training artisans to become entrepreneurs.

The goal is to train job creators, and not simply job seekers. Many artisans are capable of starting their enterprises and creating new jobs.

The Innovate UK Global Alliance Africa #MoreThanAWoman initiative will support the development of a docuseries intended to spotlight grassroot women innovators and promote their entrepreneurial stories. Through storytelling, this docuseries will elevate the voices of promising and/or successful women innovators, especially those with previously untold stories, and showcase their potential for further investment, growth and scalability.

Local community members are invited to submit ESD funding proposals for supply categories.
