The Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá is an institution that has left its mark in  the development of the city and the region and its history, closely linked to the economic, political, social, and cultural events of this capital; it dates back to the year 1878, when a group of visionaries comprised of José Manuel Restrepo, Ramón del Corral, José Camacho Roldán and Jorge Holguín, set out to foster the creation of companies, defend the interests of the city's business owners and entrepreneurs, and to become an advisory body and government consultant

Named to honour the late Walter Sisulu, a much-admired leader of the struggle for democracy in South Africa, Walter Sisulu University (WSU) focuses on quality academic, technological and career-oriented programmes. WSU places special emphasis on the development of entrepreneurship. WSU is strategically located in the Eastern Cape Province and is meant to meet the needs of the former Transkei region, the Eastern Cape Province and the country of South Africa.

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is a national university, alert to its African and international context. It strives to be a place of quality, a place to grow. It is committed to excellence in teaching, learning and research, to nurturing the cultural diversity of South Africa, and to responding in critical and creative ways to the needs of a society in transition. The UWC Technology Transfer Office supports and facilitates the protection and commercialisation of UWC's intellectual property and research outputs.

University of Zululand  (UNIZULU) is located within the Umhlathuze Municipality, the fastest growing industrial hub and employer in northern KwaZulu-Natal. We are dedicated to being embedded in the local context and dedicated to developing local talents and entrepreneurship, with local industry (including partnerships and the maritime sector). The Research and Innovation Office promotes developmental and collaborative research and research-support initiatives, within and outside the academic community, at institutional, provincial, national and international levels.

Innovus manages the commercialisation of the University innovation and intellectual property portfolio through patenting, licensing and the formation of spin-out companies. We carry out all technology transfer, entrepreneurial support and development and innovation at the University. One of South Africa's oldest university tech transfer offices and one of its most successful, we have spun out 23 companies, licensed 67 technologies and filed 114 international patents.

The mandate for the NRF, which it strives to uphold, is to promote and support national research through funding, human resource development and the provision of the necessary facilities. This is to enable and encourage the creation of knowledge, innovation and development in all fields of science and technology. Including indigenous knowledge, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of all the people of South Africa.

Wits Commercial Enterprise (Pty) Ltd is a private company, wholly owned by the University of the Witwatersrand, focused on the marketing and commercialisation of the University's intellectual capital through short course management, research support, and Intellectual Property management and Technology Transfer. We are focused on facilitating the identification, protection, and utilisation of intellectual property created through research, for social and/or economic benefit.
