One of South Africa's oldest university tech transfer offices and one of its most successful, we have spun out 23 companies, licensed 67 technologies and filed 114 international patents.

Founded in 1904, Rhodes University has a well-established reputation for academic excellence. With just over 8200 students, Rhodes is a small University, which enjoys the distinction of having among the best undergraduate pass and graduation rates in South Africa, outstanding postgraduate success rates, and the best research output per academic staff member. This research-rich environment is also a massive resource for innovation, and technology transfer activities started at Rhodes University in 2010 in the Research Office. The University of Limpopo is the result of a merger between the former Medical University of Southern Africa and the University of the North, which merger occurred on 01 January 2005. The Campus is situated to the north-west of Pretoria. Its grounds extend over some 350 ha adjoining the Ga-Rankuwa Township and are easily accessible by roads and rail.
