Zanele Sibanyoni Revolutionising the Classroom with Educase
Inspiration Behind Educase
Zanele Sibanyoni, the founder of Educase Auto Assessment Creation Tool, was driven by a deep understanding of the challenges educators face daily. The inspiration for Educase came from seeing teachers overwhelmed by the administrative tasks of creating and grading assessments. "I realised that traditional methods were no longer sufficient, and there was a pressing need for a solution that could save time and improve efficiency."
Key to her vision was the idea of using technology to transform education, providing teachers with a user-friendly platform that would not only streamline their work but also enhance the quality of education. Educase’s goal is to empower teachers, improve educational quality, and have influence in the classroom.
Contribution to Society
Educase is more than just a tool—it is a notable change for the education sector. By enabling teachers to create well-structured, consistent assessments quickly, Educase significantly boosts the quality of education. "Teachers can now focus more on engaging with students and providing personalised instruction, rather than being bogged down by administrative tasks," Zanele notes.
The platform also promotes collaboration among educators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and standardisation. "We want to ensure that students, regardless of where they are, receive a consistent and high-quality education," she says. Additionally, Educase's data-driven insights allow educators to tailor their teaching to better meet student needs, improving learning outcomes.
Beyond its impact on education, Educase is also helping schools save costs and reduce their environmental footprint. By minimising the need for paper-based assessments, Educase is promoting sustainability and helping schools.
Overcoming Challenges as a Female Entrepreneur
Like other female entrepreneurs, Zanele faced challenges on her journey. "Access to funding was a major hurdle. To overcome this, I had to refine my pitch, build a strong business case, and seek out women-focused funding sources," she recalls.
Despite these obstacles, Zanele remained focused on her vision, constantly improving her skills, and fostering a culture of inclusivity within her team.
Advice for Aspiring Female Entrepreneurs
For other women navigating the entrepreneurial landscape, Zanele offers this advice: "Believe in yourself and your vision. Seek out mentors and join networks of like-minded women for support. Develop a solid business plan and do not be afraid to ask for help. Stay resilient in the face of bias and discrimination—let your results speak for you. Focus on building a strong, inclusive team, and keep pushing forward, no matter the challenges."
Through her work, Zanele is not only transforming the educational landscape but also inspiring a new generation of female entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams and create meaningful change.
