ToxiTrail™ Board Game

Toxi Trail™ is an educational board game developed at Stellenbosch University to strengthen toxicology knowledge and clinical reasoning among healthcare professionals. Building on earlier game-based learning tools, the design incorporates realistic toxicology scenarios, variable difficulty levels, and gameplay mechanics that simulate acute care decision-making under time pressure. The game was tested with emergency medicine registrars and specialists and refined based on user feedback. It provides a structured yet enjoyable learning experience suitable for classroom teaching, simulation training, and professional development workshops.
