The Township Digital Market Access Programme, in partnership with the UK South Africa Tech Hub aims to empower and onboard 200 small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) from Soweto, Diepsloot, Tembisa, Hammanskraal and Soshanguve onto e-commerce and marketplace platforms.

The programme's objectives are to:

  • Capacitate and support 200 Township SMMEs to operate sustainably.
  • Increase the number of Township SMMEs onboarded on e-commerce and digital platforms for sales growth.
  • Strengthen the ecosystem through collaboration, knowledge-sharing and capacity building.
  • Drive digital inclusion to promote business development.
