In partnership with Tuksnovation, Standard Bank of South Africa seeks to unearth viable FinTech startups that aim to contribute to the transformation of the South African Financial Services sector.

The Standard Bank-Tuksnovation Innovation Challenge 2025 invites all eligible entrepreneurs to submit applications for the opportunity to be one of 10 startups to undergo a 6-month intensive incubation with Tuksnovation in their 2025 intake.

From the submitted applications, 25 startups will be shortlisted and be taken through a rigorous 3-month training which will equip them with key ideation and problem-solving techniques as well as technical knowledge enabling each to design and communicate effectively their value proposition.

At the end of the 3-month training, each startup will be given 3 minutes to pitch their Fintech Innovation to a panel of adjudicators made up of industry experts who will decide on the 10 that will be awarded a 6-month intensive incubation opportunity.

Under the incubation programme, startups will be paired with mentors who will guide and support the startups develop and refine their PoC or MVP as well as an effective develop effective Go to Market Strategy.
