Proudly South African Buy Local Summit & Expo 2026
The 14th edition of the Proudly South African Buy Local Summit & Expo will take place on 16–17 March 2026 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg. As Proudly South African’s flagship annual event, the Summit & Expo has evolved into the country’s premier local procurement and localisation platform, convening key public and private sector stakeholders to strengthen domestic value chains and drive economic recovery.
Held under the theme “Localisation… A Critical Imperative to the Economy”, the 2026 edition will focus on leveraging local procurement as a strategic instrument for job creation, industrial development, MSME growth and sustainable economic transformation. The event seeks to align government, corporates, financiers, organised labour and entrepreneurs around practical mechanisms to increase uptake of locally manufactured goods and services.
The Buy Local Summit & Expo brings together senior government officials and ministers, captains of industry, financiers, innovators, organised labour, MSMEs and over 200 local exhibitors. It serves as a high-impact platform for dialogue, procurement linkages and market access.
Key programme elements include:
- High-level policy and industry discussions addressing localisation, procurement reform and economic growth
- MSME development workshops focused on compliance, scaling and competitiveness
- An MSME financing workshop linking entrepreneurs to funding instruments
- Business matchmaking seminars designed to connect emerging suppliers with large corporates and conglomerates
- A curated exhibition showcasing locally manufactured products and services
