The National Youth Development Agency Grant Programme
The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) Grant Programme is designed to provide young entrepreneurs with an opportunity to access both financial and non-financial business development support in order to enable them to establish or grow their businesses.
GRANT REQUIREMENTS
Proof of Market/Sales Records Acceptable Documentation:
- Invoices of past transactions
- Letters of reference, confirming work done
- Contracts for future work
- Letters of intent/interest (Whereby you state what the business is about and provide services/products that you will be offering. In the same letter, they must sign a declaration with their contract details, Name and Surname as well as their signature.) One letter per prospective clients, with a minimum of 10 clients.
- Surveys (Questionnaire) - minimum of 10 questions each page per client
Personal Bank Statement
- Business Bank Statement (6Months)
Proof of Residence
- Any form of document that has the clients address on them e.g. Clothing Account, Bank Account, Cellphone Account, etc. If the client produces an account of a guardian that resides with them, an affidavit written by the account holder should accompany it. Date must be within 3 months from submission.
Company Reg. Documents
- Full document (Bring your partner's certified ID copies - All Directors should be between 18-35 years old)
Certified ID Copy
- Certified ID copies of all directors in the company should be provided
- Date of certification should be within 3 months from submission
Tax Clearance Certificate - Good Standing
- Must be valid. Expiry date must be verified
Business Plan
Lease Agreement
- Address for the business where you will be operating. If they are operating from a household, they must provide an affidavit by the title deed owner that they give full permission that the business may operate from their premises.
Signed Company Management Accounts
- Financial stats of the past financial year, signed by an independent auditor
Compliance Documents (If compliance is required by the sector e.g. CIDB for Construction, Health certificate for restaurants, etc.)
CV & Certified ID Copy
- Must be within 3 months from date of submission
Asset Registry
- A registrar of all the business assets, e.g. description of assets, year purchased and amount purchased for
EDP/Qualification (Diploma or Degree Business Management, Entrepreneurship)
- Certificate stating basic skills or more in Entrepreneurship or Business Management
The certificate must cover the basic modules such as:
- Business Management
- Financial Mangement
- Marketing
- Economics
- Accounting
- Bookkeeping
- Business Administration
Please take note that the modules must provide skills in general business and are not defined to a certain sector
Supplier Quotation (Telephone, Bank Details, Company Registration.)
- Quotation should be from a registered company
- Supplier should be a South African based, registered supplier (No international suppliers)
- Contact details should be clearly visible
- Total amount should not exceed the threshold maximum capacity
