The National Film (NFVF) considers development as any work undertaken to put an idea or concept into writing with an intention of creating a script including research undertaken in a documentary, a short or a feature film whether fiction or real life.
The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) was created to ensure the equitable growth of South Africa’s film and video industry, providing:
- Funding for the development, production, marketing, and distribution of films.
- Training and development of filmmakers.
- Commissioning research and producing industry statistics to provide both the public and stakeholders with valuable insights into the South African film industry.
