Jillie's Natural

Jillian Nyakane Development Agency t/a Jillie’s Natural is a 100% female and black-owned private company. We manufacture and sell natural, plant-based body and hair care products in South Africa. We are a wholesome and holistic wellness business, focusing on skincare, haircare and beauty treatments. We make and sell our own manufactured body and hair care products. We use our products on clients for massages at our spa in Naturena, Johannesburg. The company was established in 2015. Our vision is to become an international top-quality and innovative manufacturer of natural and safe personal use products.  Our mission is to safely and naturally take care of your body and hair needs.

We use natural plant-based ingredients that are excellent in moisturising, softening and nourishing hair and skin. The properties of the ingredients used in the products ensures that the skin and hair retain moisture; and maintain optimal oil secretion, so that the skin and hair have a healthy, balanced and glowing look. There are no chemicals or fillers or parabens.

From 2017 – 2022 we have sold 616 units of the body souffle. In 2021, we introduced the CBD range – CBD Body Scrub and CBD Hair Oil. From 2020 – 2022 the scrub has sold 40 units and hair oil 154 units.

All the above sales were achieved through multiple platforms, we sold at exhibitions, markets, online shop, Takealot, and collaborations with other businesses. The platform that sold the most were the markets and exhibitions. In all of this, we have approached all big retailers and major pharmacies to stock our products. We have been unsuccessful. We opened a shop in February 2023 ( 109 Main Road, Naturena) with the vision to reach a wider audience of customers.

2022 sales turnover was R 54 000 and 5 casual jobs were created. The target for 2023 is to double this turnover. We would like to be considered for funding so we can expand our product ranges as well as cover the overhead costs.
