Overview of Investor

Horizen Ventures is an early-stage fund focused on ICT and disruptive high and low tech solutions.

Horizen Ventures was founded in April 2004 as an early stage investment company initially focused on India-based technology and internet firms. In 2006, Horizen Ventures signed an exclusive partnership deal with SoftBank China & India Holdings(SBCI). Between August 2006 and December 2015, SBCI made 28 investments and Horizen Ventures’ portfolio grew to 12 companies, 5 of which were co-investments with SBCI. In most of those cases, Horizen led the co-investment and SBCI participated pro-rata.

Three of our 12 portfolio companies have exceeded $100m in peak market-cap and all three are still growing.

As we approach the 16th anniversary of our founding, we have also expanded our geography beyond India. Today, Horizen Ventures invests in the US, Singapore, India and South Africa.
