F. M. Kirby Prize for Scaling Impact – 2026
 
The F. M. Kirby Prize for Scaling Impact is an annual global award of USD $150,000 in unrestricted funding designed to accelerate enterprises addressing urgent social or environmental challenges. Open to nonprofit, for-profit, hybrid, or other legal forms, the prize highlights organizations making measurable progress and expanding their reach, with a focus on bold leadership, community-centered strategies, and scalable impact. The award supports exceptional leaders and organizations ready to amplify their proven models and drive systemic change.
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Minimum 3 years of proven impact and measurable results addressing areas such as climate resilience, health, education, equity, sustainable livelihoods, and more.
- Traction and a concrete plan for further scaling their impact over the next 3–5 years.
- An annual operating budget of at least $250,000, with preferred applicants in the $1–3 million range.
- Integrity, resourcefulness, collaboration, diversity, and resilience within their leadership.
- Community-centered approaches, strong partnerships, and clear evidence of impact in the chosen sector.
The Prize welcomes applications globally (including South Africa), provided international applicants have an established presence in the U.S. (US taxpayer status and EIN or fiscal sponsorship). Application is multi-phased: initial applications open October 24 and close December 3, 2025 (only first 250 reviewed), followed by an in-depth round, interviews for finalists, and winner announcement in June 2026.
Restrictions: Only organizations demonstrating impact for 3+ years and meeting minimum budget criteria are eligible. Prize funding is unrestricted for strategic investments in scale, operational strength, and partnerships.
