The Coega Development Corporation (CDC) is headquartered in the City of Gqeberha, Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, South Africa, with a strategic operational footprint in South Africa and beyond the borders on the African continent.
CDC is an organisation that enables sustainable socio-economic development in South Africa, through investment, infrastructure development and facilities management, SMME development, mentorship, and the facilitation of skills development and capacity building. The CDC's vision is to be the leading catalyst for the championing of socio-economic development. This it seeks to achieve through the development and operation of the 9 003-hectare Coega Special Economic Zone (SEZ), a transshipment hub and a leading investment destination in Africa, providing highly skilled competence and capacity for the execution of complex infrastructure and related projects throughout South Africa and selected markets on the African continent, and advisory on the development of industrial and logistics zones.

SMME Development
The CDC has a dedicated SMME Development Unit that facilitates programmes related to the development and support of SMMEs. As an empowerment-driven organisation, the CDC is conscious of the power of the small business sector in terms of job creation and its contribution to economic development in the province and country.
