About the Fund

The Climate Resilience Fund 2026 provides flexible capital to private sector organisations developing and implementing climate adaptation solutions in vulnerable regions.

The programme supports projects that strengthen the resilience of communities, ecosystems and infrastructure to climate-related challenges while promoting sustainable development and long-term environmental benefits.

Priority is given to initiatives that address climate adaptation through nature-based solutions, sustainable agriculture, ecosystem restoration and resilient infrastructure development.

Funding Available

Successful applicants may receive funding ranging from USD $250,000 to USD $5,000,000.

Who Can Apply?

The fund is open to:

• Registered private sector entities
• Companies operating in IFC-eligible countries
• Businesses with at least two years of operational history
• Organisations implementing climate adaptation and resilience initiatives

Eligible applicants should demonstrate the ability to implement scalable projects that strengthen climate resilience and deliver measurable environmental and social impact.

Priority Focus Areas

The programme prioritises projects focused on:

• Nature-based climate adaptation solutions
• Mangrove restoration and ecosystem rehabilitation
• Drought-resistant and climate-smart agriculture
• Climate-resilient infrastructure
• Community resilience initiatives
• Environmental sustainability and adaptation measures

What Can Be Funded?

Funding may support:

• Working capital and project implementation
• Pilot deployments and demonstration projects
• Technical assistance and capacity building
• Climate and ESG-aligned investments
• Market research and feasibility studies
• Equipment and technology procurement
• Monitoring, evaluation and learning activities
