The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority (CHIETA) has launched a R12 million Artisan Entrepreneurship Fund. The fund will support programmes aimed at training artisans to become entrepreneurs.

The goal is to train job creators, and not simply job seekers. Many artisans are capable of starting their enterprises and creating new jobs.

In the context of high unemployment and low growth, CHIETA has established a dedicated fund for programmes aimed at creating artisan entrepreneurs.
