Call for Registrations: Global Entrepreneurship Week Hackathon
The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of innovators who dream big and launch startups that brings ideas to life. This year will mark the 17th year of celebrating the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week which attracts over 40 million people in 200 countries with 20,000 activities aimed at raising awareness about innovation and entrepreneurship. GEW reaches new audiences and connects participants to a network that can help them take the next step, no matter where they are on their entrepreneurial journey.
GEW will be celebrated globally under the theme “Removing Barriers and Welcoming All,” emphasising the importance of building inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems.
The GEW Hackathon is a 48-hour event which will bring together developers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts to brainstorm, design, and develop creative solutions to real-world challenges.
Focus Areas:
- Financial Inclusion: Create Fintech solutions to improve access to credit, savings, and insurance for township entrepreneurs
- Market Access: Develop platforms or tools to connect township businesses with customers and suppliers.
- Infrastructure and Logistics: Find technological solutions to address challenges related to electricity, transportation, and supply chain management.
- Education and Skills Development: Design digital platforms or tools to enhance entrepreneurial skills and knowledge.
