Call for Applications: Bolt Accelerator Programme

Bolt is launching the Bolt Accelerator Programme in South Africa. Bolt is actively seeking innovative ideas from Bolt drivers and their immediate family members that address real-life tech mobility challenges in South Africa. This programme will support business ideas by bringing them to life with seed funding and mentorship to help them succeed in business.

Submit your business idea for a chance to:

1. Win €2,000 of seed funding.
2. Access to Business Mentorship Bootcamp
3. Experience a Learning Journey with Bolt Academy

How does the programme work?

1. Submit your application by 30th, December to be evaluated by experts.
2. 120 participants receive online training and send in their 1-minute pitch in video format. The top 20 are selected to proceed.
3. The top 20 applicants receive additional training and complete a comprehensive mentorship to prepare for the final pitch.
4. The top 10 ideas will receive €2,000 in funding and access to further mentorship.

Eligibility requirements

To participate in the Bolt Accelerator Program, you must:

1. Driver: You must be an active driver operating on the Bolt platform with at least 100 trips completed.
2. Spouse or Child: Verification will be conducted through the account of the driver linked with the Bolt platform. The child must be 18 years and above.
3. Family Limitation: Only one member per family, either the driver, spouse, or child is eligible to apply.
4. Residency: Candidates must be residents of South Africa.
5. Time Commitment: Successful applicants should be available to dedicate off-peak hours over a period of 10 weeks for an intensive hybrid training and mentoring session.
6. Feasible Business Idea: Your business idea should address real-life tech mobility challenges in South Africa. Whether it’s about sustainability, involved in creating more people-centric cities, or inclusive mobility.
