The Innovation Hub, as part of the BRICS Advisory Committee, proudly presents the 3rd Susong CUP Future Industrial Technology Innovation Competition.

To strengthen BRICS cooperation in science, technology, and innovation, advance the development of a global innovation hub, and drive the implementation of future industrial technologies in Xiamen, the 3rd "Su Song Cup" Future Industry Technology Innovation Competition – BRICS Track is now officially open.
This year’s competition focuses on three pioneering fields: Future Information, Future Materials, and Future Health. It seeks groundbreaking technological projects and top-tier teams from BRICS member states and emerging markets, accelerating the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. Outstanding projects will receive support for implementation within the China-BRICS Science and Technology Innovation Incubation Park in Xiamen, contributing to the establishment of a dynamic global innovation ecosystem.

Project Categories:

Start-Up

Participants applying under the startup category must meet the following criteria:

  • For International Applicants: Tech-driven startups registered within the past five years in BRICS member states or emerging markets. Priority will be given to projects that have secured at least one round of funding.
  • For Domestic Applicants: Tech-driven startups registered in China on or after January 1, 2024, with at least one shareholder holding nationality from a BRICS or partner country.
  • General Requirements: All participating startups must hold independent intellectual property rights, be free from any ownership disputes, and maintain a clean record with no adverse legal or financial history.

Tech-Commercial

Participants applying under the tech-Commercial category must meet the following criteria:

  • For International Applicants: Projects led by university or research institute teams from BRICS member states or emerging markets, with core intellectual property (IP) originating from the affiliated institution.
  • For Domestic Applicants: Tech-Commercial projects from Chinese universities and research institutes, with priority given to projects involving BRICS collaboration and industrialization. All projects must have core IP from a university or research institute.
  • General Requirements: Each project team must include at least one active researcher from a university or research institute. Participating enterprises must hold independent intellectual property rights, with no ownership disputes or adverse records.
