Overview of innovation

The Adult Diaper consists of a reusable outer casing and a disposable, biodegradable inner lining that can be easily removed. There is a growing need for affordable, well-designed, and absorbent adult diapers for the elderly market. The cost for individuals or care homes is high, especially in terms of the disposal of used diapers. Current suppliers are either excessively expensive or offer products of very poor quality. Elderly individuals on a pension often cannot afford the diapers. As a result, charity organisations are sponsoring these items as part of community outreach projects, but this is expensive and not sustainable.

Benefits:

  • Sustainable: The product has less impact on the environment.
  • Reduced cost: The component part is reusable.
  • Ergonomic design: The design benefits both the wearer and the caregiver during changes.
