Keywords related to the available technology.
wireless speed throughput Security longevity
Overview:

This technology is for wireless networking and permits wireless communications at faster rates (in the presence of interference), at longer distances, and using less power (saving battery power in low power devices). This is achieved at the expense of slightly more complex hardware and software, as compared to traditional wireless devices. The theoretical estimations and in-house tests showed performance improvements between 2 to 3 times in terms of the network throughput. The most immediate applications are foreseen in the wireless sensor networking market and in the complex (e.g. dense) yet slowly changing wireless environments.

We are now also starting work to extend the application of this technology in television white spaces (TVWS) and for passive radars (addressing the needs of two current CSIR Thematic projects). In both cases, the robustness to interference is critical for the successful operation and can be achieved by using or extending this technology.
