Innovation Capital
The Innovation Fund has continued to fuel South Africa’s innovation ecosystem by supporting its implementing partners through multiple Venture Capital Funds. Through its direct investment model, the Fund has also partnered with 27Four, Anza Capital and CSIR C3 strengthening access to finance for game-changing start-ups and SMEs.

Innovation Investments
CSIR Defence and Security develops strategic technologies and capabilities for air, land, sea and cyber defence and security, and delivers integrated solutions for the private, public and civil sectors.
The CSIR has developed a multi-purpose modular pod that can be integrated with a fast jet aircraft for a variety of uses in training, test and evolution, as well as prototype payload development. The Inundu pod was designed to provide a protected environment for prototypes or unqualified payloads against the harsh airborne environment.
