Innovation Capital
The Innovation Fund has continued to fuel South Africa’s innovation ecosystem by supporting its implementing partners through multiple Venture Capital Funds. Through its direct investment model, the Fund has also partnered with 27Four, Anza Capital and CSIR C3 strengthening access to finance for game-changing start-ups and SMEs.

Mechatech Engineering Solutions was established in 2020 by a group four engineers driven by the passion to change the world through technology. Through the experience of working with mechatronics systems, exposed to other technologies, and involved in various engineering projects, the team soon realized the need to contribute towards building a better society in South Africa through innovative engineering solutions.
Smart Roots produces and distributes organic and bio fertilisers to smallholder farmers.
The Talk360 international calling app allows reliable and affordable phone calls to any offline landline or mobile phone in the world. It is a simple app that helps people call their friends, reach out to their family, and speak with their loved ones over the phone. As the call receiver does not need internet, the Talk360 app, or a smartphone, this solution was able to connect 2 million people in 2021, no matter where they were located or whether they had internet access.
