Applications are open for companies in the agro-processing sector to participate in the South African Pavilion at Gulfood - the largest food and beverage trade exhibition in the Middle East. Gulfood 2026 will showcase food and beverage products from around the world. South Africa will participate in the Fine Food Pavilion, which showcases agro-processing products and services, excluding beverages and meat.

About the Due Diligence Fund

The Due Diligence Fund (DDF) is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), as part of the Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains Initiative (SASI). Now in its fifth round, the DDF has already supported 30 projects across four previous rounds since 2022.

About the Grant

The Jennifer Ward Oppenheimer (JWO) Research Grant is a prestigious funding opportunity awarding one grant of USD 150,000 to a single successful applicant to support a biodiversity and conservation-focused research project or programme based in or focused on Africa. The challenge identifies high-impact, scalable solutions across the agrifood value chain, with finalists competing for up to $1 million in investment and the opportunity to pitch live in Silicon Valley at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit 2026.

The FSAT Labs TerraFoundry Programme is a 3-year climate-tech accelerator designed to support Western Cape-based green businesses ready to Rise, Raise and Scale.

The programme will support 120 climate-tech startups over three years, with 40 businesses selected for the 2026 cohort. TerraFoundry aims to accelerate innovative climate solutions through structured incubation, investor readiness, and market access support.

The programme focuses on scalable climate-tech solutions that address environmental challenges while creating sustainable economic opportunities.
