Overview of Organisation

The Transnet Enterprise Development Hub, in collaboration with the Department Of Small Business, Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), South African Revenue Services (SARS), Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP), and Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) is a coordinated government effort focusing on enterprise development.

Services that SMMEs can expect from the Transnet Enterprise Development Hub include:

  • Procurement advisory services
  • Central Supplier Database Registration (CSD) and queries services
  • TAX, PAYE, VAT and other related services

Other Transnet-related programmes

It is Transnet’s objective to create enterprise development initiatives that will create and expand opportunities for small businesses. These initiatives will target black-owned enterprises with a turnover of less than R35 million to cover a broad range of designated groups, with a key focus on:

  • Start-up and micro enterprises in identified rural areas
  • Black women-owned enterprises
  • Black youth-owned enterprises​​
  • Enterprises owned by people living with disabilities
