Promerops (Pty) Ltd is a South African owned Black Economic Empowerment enterprise operating as supplier of Technology Solutions for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) in all its facets.
Promerops is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems (RPAS’s).
Promerops developed a manufacturing capability for RPAS’s in South Africa, based on core of South African developed intellectual property. The opportunity originated from the successful development of such systems by the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Promerops strives to create opportunities for transformation in the South African Engineering and Aerospace Industry Sector. The supply of Technology Platforms through Promerops is strongly underpinned by localization commitments, thus cascading economic benefit. End user acquisitions, especially those linked to state-owned organizations will therefore result in far-reaching local economic impact, as opposed to acquisitions from foreign OEMs. Furthermore, localization provides local end users with a far more secure supply model as well as secure maintenance and operations support (security of supplies).
Promerops targets Safety & Security Operators (Civil and Government) in South African and African markets. Currently, these segments have the highest market potential for such Products and Services.
