National Occupational and Employment Information System(NOEIS) is an innovative digital platform platform designed to bridge the gap between education, skills development, and labour market demands in South Africa. The system collects and analyses employment and occupational data to identify current and future skills shortages enabling students, job seekers, businesses and policymakers to make informed decisions. By providing real-time labour market intelligence and career guidance, NOEIS aims to reduce unemployment, address skills mismatches and support economic growth. the platform has the potential to transform workforce planning in South Africa by creating a more responsive and data-driven employment ecosystem. the system also aims to significantly reduce recruitment and administrative costs for both government departments and private companies. 

Traditional recruitment processes, including manually submitted applications such as Z83 forms and applications delivered by hand, can be costly, time-consuming, and inefficient. Likewise, the large volume of emailed applications creates administrative burdens and delays. NOEIS seeks to streamline these processes through a centralised digital  digital platform that enables employers to efficiently manage applications and identify suitable candidates.
