Summary

The Mzansi Young Farmers Indaba is billed as one of Africa’s biggest youth‑in‑agriculture gatherings, drawing nearly 2 000 young farmers, agro‑processors and industry leaders over two days of learning, networking and inspiration. The 2026 edition takes place from 9-10 April 2026 in Pretoria, Gauteng, and continues to position itself as a continental platform where the next generation of agri‑gamechangers connect, collaborate and shape the future of African agriculture.

Early bird tickets are now available at R580 (discounted from R735) for a two day pass, offering significant savings for those who secure their place ahead of the standard ticket phase. Attendees can expect powerful keynote sessions, practical workshops and interactive discussions tackling key themes such as market access, agri‑tech, finance, climate resilience and leadership, alongside a vibrant exhibition showcasing innovations in farming, agribusiness and sustainability.

The indaba is especially valuable for young farmers, emerging agripreneurs and rural changemakers who want to grow their networks, learn from peers and industry experts, and access opportunities that can accelerate their farms and agribusinesses. Organised by Food For Mzansi and the Farming Indaba team, the event combines high‑energy engagement with practical takeaways, making it a movement as much as a conference.
