Mpumelelo Academy positions itself as a grassroots-to-advanced innovation school that identifies, nurtures, and develops STEM talent from an early age and channels it into science, space technology, and innovation ecosystem. The Academy serves as a feeder institution for future scientists, engineers, technologists, and innovators, particularly from communities traditionally excluded from the innovation economy.

Our Focus Areas:
1. STEM foundations (Maths, Coding, Robotics)
2. Innovation labs and Applied problem-solving
3. Youth-led R&D and prototype development
4. Digital and emerging technologies (AI, IoT, Green Tech - Phased)

Our Goals are to: 
1. Expand participation in the National System of Innovation and Partner with Space Agencies.
2. Strengthen the STEM talent pipeline
3. Support transformation and inclusion targets
4. Create pathways into Universities, Research Centers, and Innovation Hubs.
