Busiswa Damoyi holds a National Diploma in Financial Management and had of starting a business. She then joined the Johannesburg Business School and did a certificate in Entrepreneurial Development. Her entrepreneurial journey began with a deep sense of purpose and inspiration drawn from her personal experiences.

Driven by a desire to make a difference, Busiswa authored Imbokodo (Strong Woman), a book dedicated to empowering women raising children alone and encouraging them to maintain hope, love their children, and communicate openly with them. The book also serves as a beacon of hope for children who have faced rejection, motivating them to strive for a better future and break the cycle of abandonment.

What began as a single book has now blossomed into Intambiso Communications, a thriving business that not only supplies books to libraries but also engages in translation and marketing services. Busiswa's dedication to her community is evident in her initiatives, such as the ‘Books for Bright Futures’ project, sponsored by the Lego Foundation. This project encourages reading within communities by providing access to books and fostering a culture of literacy.

Intambiso Communications also hosts events sponsored by the Lego Foundation and Openseat, where parents and children can bond over meals and engaging play activities. These events promote open communication, strengthening family ties and nurturing a positive environment for children.

Her advice to other female entrepreneurs is rooted in resilience: "Believe in yourself as a woman, and do not let anyone take advantage of you. Trust the process, pray, and work hard—eventually, everything will work out," she says.
