GSMA Innovation Fund for Green Transition for Mobile 2026
The GSMA Innovation Fund for Green Transition for Mobile is a global funding opportunity designed to support small and growing enterprises that are leveraging mobile and digital technologies to accelerate the green transition in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Launched by the GSMA, this fund targets commercially viable, impact-driven solutions that expand access to clean energy, promote circular economy models in mobile devices, and strengthen digital inclusion. The initiative aligns with global sustainability priorities, including climate action and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, by supporting innovations that deliver both environmental and socio-economic impact.
The fund places strong emphasis on solutions that integrate mobile technology at their core, particularly those improving access to affordable connectivity, enabling renewable energy solutions, and advancing circularity through device repair, refurbishment, reuse, and responsible e-waste management.
In addition to financial support, the programme aims to generate industry insights and scalable models that can inform policy, strengthen ecosystems, and accelerate adoption of sustainable digital solutions across emerging markets.
