Foodprint Labs

FoodPrint Labs is a Cape Town based start-up that is on a mission to digitise food supply chains in Sub-Saharan Africa, and in the process improve the economic welfare of smallholder farmers. FoodPrint Labs is developing the FoodPrint supply chain platform to simplify and standardise production and operational data collection for smallholder farmers and provide them with access to markets and service. Using FoodPrint, smallholder farmers log their production and operational data via an easy to use WhatsApp chatbot; intermediaries order produce in bulk directly from farmers; and in future, retail consumers can order seasonal and local fresh produce subscription boxes which are sourced directly from local smallholder farmers.
