The European Commission is seeking stakeholder feedback as it prepares to revise the legal framework and future strategy of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) for the 2028–2034 period.
The initiative will inform:
- The revision of the EIT Regulation
- A new Strategic Innovation Agenda for the EIT covering 2028–2034
- The future direction, priorities and role of the EIT within Europe's research and innovation ecosystem
- How the EIT can continue to strengthen links between research, education and innovation
The EIT brings together these three areas to support innovation, entrepreneurship, skills development and the development of stronger innovation ecosystems. The Commission is therefore inviting stakeholders to contribute their views before the initiative moves towards formal Commission adoption.

Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on the proposed direction of the EIT and its future strategic and legal framework.
