S-Band Transmitter Product Range: STX and HSTX

The S-band transmitter product range includes the STX and HSTX (high-speed STX), designed to meet the needs of CubeSat developers requiring data transmission from space to Earth. The STX supports data rates between 500 kbps and 2 Mbps, while the HSTX operates at rates between 2 Mbps and 10 Mbps. Both systems operate in the highly sought-after amateur and commercial S-band frequency range.

These products are low-cost, compact, and low-power solutions that provide a transparent link between a CubeSat and a ground station. The interfacing and control protocols used by these inventions adhere to widely adopted standards, ensuring quick integration and efficient utilisation. The STX and HSTX are ideally suited for scientific or medium-resolution Earth observation missions, where traditional telemetry radio systems would be inadequate for the required payload data transfer.

Benefits:

  • Cost-effective solution for low-Earth orbit missions requiring a high-speed downlink.
  • Highly reliable system designed for use in low Earth orbit.
  • Adheres to industry-standard CubeSat form factor.
  • Flight heritage from multiple missions already flown.
