Overview of innovation

ACTLink™ is a mobile and desktop application designed to streamline the distribution of artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs) used in malaria treatment. The system enhances coordination across the complex, multi-stakeholder supply chain that delivers ACTs to healthcare facilities and patients. Fragmented logistics and poor communication between stakeholders often constrain the distribution of ACTs. ACTLink™ addresses this challenge by enabling real-time coordination of drug delivery through both internet and USSD functionalities—ensuring accessibility in urban, peri-urban, and remote rural areas. By improving efficiency, transparency, and access, ACTLink™ helps ensure the timely availability of ACTs, maximising drug efficacy and improving patient treatment outcomes.
