Accelerate Africa is inviting applications for Cohort 5 of its startup accelerator programme designed to support bold and visionary African founders building scalable businesses that solve Africa’s biggest challenges.

The 12-week accelerator programme is tailored for early-stage startups across Africa and focuses on helping founders strengthen their businesses through hands-on mentorship, operational support, founder coaching, market expansion strategies, and investor readiness preparation.

Accelerate Africa works closely with a limited group of selected founders, providing personalised support from experienced operators, advisors, and investors who have built, funded, advised, and scaled successful African startups.

The programme has previously supported founders and startups connected to high-growth African companies including Andela, Flutterwave, Moove, and DukaConnect.

Programme Structure

  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Selected startups: 10 founders/startups per cohort
  • Format: Hybrid support with in-person and advisory components
  • Focus: Early-stage African startups with scalable and impact-driven solutions

What Selected Founders Receive

Funding and Investment Information

Accelerate Africa does not:

  • Take equity upon admission
  • Provide automatic funding during programme entry

However:

  • The Accelerate Africa Fund may offer optional investment opportunities at the end of the programme
  • Future Africa may invest between USD 250,000 and USD 500,000 following standard due diligence and investment processes

  • MidPoint Week (Lagos, Nigeria): 12–16 October 2026
  • Demo Day Week (Lagos, Nigeria): 16–19 November 2026
  • Demo Day: 20 November 2026
