The Challenge is open exclusively to South African applicants. Eligible applicants include:

Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises registered in South Africa

University-based research teams and/or innovators

Science Council-based research teams and/or innovators

Academic research laboratories

Applicants must be South African entities or be formally affiliated with South African institutions.
