Amasu Technologies Pty (Ltd)
Amasu Technologies Pty (Ltd) applies strategic thinking to develop innovative devices that address global health problems. We are a proudly South African biotechnology company (founded in 2017) that specializes in the development, manufacturing and prototyping of diagnostic devices for a wide range of medical applications. In addition, we offer contract prototyping services to academic and research organizations interested in medical device development or business development. We draw inspiration from the fact that the field of Biotechnology is still new to South Africa and there are very few South African Biotechnology companies serving this space. Therefore, through our local networks, we embrace partnerships and collaborations with international companies that are seeking to penetrate the African markets. At the heart of this is our desire to promote technology and business transfer with international organizations that are driven by the same goal, while providing employment opportunities to South Africans at different levels of expertise and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our team consists of a diverse group of experts in: Microfluidics (PDMS and paper-based); Lateral Flow devices; Photolithography; Softlithography; Chemistry, Microbiology, Virology; Infectious Diseases; Prototyping; Biotechnology, Bioengineering; and Business Development.
Our mission is to: 1. To develop innovative devices that address global health problems 2. To transform the Biotechnology landscape of South Africa through innovation, consultancy & collaborations.
