The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) is primarily a science council that funds and conducts health research. SAMRC focuses on the ten highest causes of mortality in South Africa including TB, HIV, chronic diseases, alcohol and drug abuse.

We are a close-ended investment company primarily focused on investments in JSE-listed companies. With a transparent net asset value (NAV) of R56 million, our portfolio reflects a strong South African equity market presence.
